The Story:

Director Ravicharan Meripo has brought out a love story with a very good message in the form of Akasame Haddu. It is coming out with a tagline ‘Life is greater than Love’. The film explains that love is just a part of a life and it is not the life as a whole. Read on for the review.
Narayana (Rajeev Salur) is a topper in a college. His principal (Rao Ramesh) sponsors him and he gets selected in a campus interview. Once he comes across Priya (Panchi Bora) and loses his heart in first sight. He tries to attract her in different ways but could not succeed in his mission. He neglects his studies and ignores to concentrate on his main project work. At one stage, Priya tells him that he hates him and asks him to die his own death.
At this juncture, Karthik (Navdeep) meets Narayana and start suggesting him that he should prove himself that he truly loves her by concentrating on his studies. Later, Narayana joins a company to do his project work on the advice of Karthik, where Priya also works. Priya befriends with him and moves positively as a good friend. Before going for the final examination, Priya gives him a cover and tells him to open on his birthday as she doesn’t want to meet him and disturb his studies during exam time. What's in the letter? what happens to Karthik? Will Priya accept his love? Answers for these questions form the interesting part of the climax......

Director Venkat Prabhu has done an mean job in weaving an anecdote related to cricket betting and bookies. Gambler movie is a complete action thriller and I must say that Venkat Prabhu did not do justice to make it a gripping story. The screenplay was faltering and it started to confound the audience several points. The storytelling was more centering around the ballyhoo of Ajith, his looks and action, and not the script. Venkat Prabhu has managed to bask on Ajith's following and showcased Ajith in a unique way – Grey-haired Ajith rather.
Kudos to Ajith – He selected a superb character that has ample scope for performance and improvisation and he once again proves that he's right up there when it comes to box office collections . He is at his very best in the masala looks and his body language is pretty typical. The Story:
Mumbai police goes into tizzy with a serious issue regarding bookies and match fixing. Vinayak (Ajith) is a police officer serving suspension for 6 months. He falls in love with Sanjana (Trisha), daughter of a powerful local gangster Mahadev (Jayaprakash). In an attempt to dictate Mumbai, Mahadev plans to steal the 500 crores used for betting during IPL. But four men gang Sumanth (Vaibhav), Prem (Premji), Mahat (Mahat Raghavendra), Ganesh (Ashwin Kakumanu), a sub-inspector at Dharavi in Mumbai plan a trap and wants to run away with this money. And knowing about this, Vinayak also joins the group and starts leading the gang and finally managed to steal the money. Debutant Ramtej looks decent enough but his attempt on emotional scenes towards climax of the movie is not justifying. His moves in Jhalak song prove his body flexibility and dancing abilities. A little grooming would ensure a bright future for this promising actor. Well, picking right scripts too has its own share in showering success on him. Anupoorva is not a heroine material, though looks good. Her performance is average. Having a substantial role as an actress she does not register an impact. Suman shetty and friends were good in providing entertainment. Other artists in the film were not designated properly.
Background score passable and editing is intermediate. It could have been better if focused. Screenplay is of no great shakes and remains fair. The subject line is a definitely a downer. Ravi Sharma fails to deliver a decent story to the audience which becomes a major drawback for the film. Music composed by S A Rajkumar is decent enough and will surely appeal to the masses. S A Rajkumar has tried to elevate few scenes with the help of Re-Recording to make it more attractive. Production values were good. The role that Nandu has played is in very much his domain. So he does it with convincing manner. Nandu delivers it with full marks. Ramesh, Dhanraj were entertaining. SriLekha in a small role is okay. New Comer Divya is so natural that she pulls off the character with ease, but her characterization looks inspired from Amala Paul’s role in Prema Khaidi. Prakash Bradwaj was one of the biggest blunder for the movie his mannerisms and dialogue delivery were just irritating. Krishnudu, Darmavarapu Subramanyam, Krishna Bhagwan were wasted.
Having been shot in a village, the movie doesn’t show off any wowing scenes, but the green carpet and rural beauty was captured affably. Cinematography is appealing, while Chinni charan’s background just gave life to the whole film. I must say, music is the only asset of Nenu Nanna Abaddam. Story of the film has a different point in it. It requires very tight screenplay and smooth handling of emotions to narrate such a delicate story. Narration of the film is pretty slow and screenplay is not good. Direction of the film is OK in parts. Even director tries to Copy scenes (sorry) inspired a lot from Premisthe and Prema Khaidi. Even kept two to three scenes similar to Prema Khaidi. The Pre Climax Episode recalls us of Premisthe climax but luckily director ended it differently. The dialogues were good in parts. Movie Plot Summary:
Bloodshed and bouncing bosoms abound in this wretchedly violent and nearly pornographic horror film from the Phillipines. The story is set within a tiny village located near an idyllic nude beach where beautiful young women play. Poor local boy Joseph is terribly aroused and becomes obsessed with having his teacher, a virgin. This does not set well with Joseph's lover, an older widow. Joseph meets his end after he is blamed for butchering a classmate. Joseph's teacher and one of her friends are in turn blamed for cutting off the lad's head and burned alive.

Silip is a 1985 Philippines horror sexploitation film written by Ricardo Lee and directed by Elwood Perez. The film was released outside the Philippines as Daughters of Eve.

Movie Story:
In the remote countryside of Llongo, various women are sexually abused by local men. Two sisters, Tonya (Maria Isabel Lopez) a sexually repressed young woman and Selda (Sarsi Emmanuelle) a promiscuous woman, meet Simon (Mark Joseph), the most attractive man in the village. Tonya teaches catechism to the children of the village. Selda comes home from the city with her American lover, whom she throws out shortly afterward. She's the exact opposite of Tonya, as her views on sex are more liberal and less guilt-filled. Tonya is secretly sexually attracted to Simon, but she refuses his sexual advances.
Director Elwood Perez's Silip: Daughters of Eve concerns three young Philippino women who must deal with their conflicted feelings about sexuality after each grew up in a culture that mixed strict religious instruction alongside pervasive abuse.

About Movie Silip:
This controversial and provocative film came out of the Philippines' in 1986 and caused a storm of controversy for director Elwood Perez. The plot follows three young women who emerge from backgrounds afflicted by sexual abuse and deeply religious teachings, causing them to harbor doubts about their sexual preferences
On one hand, this Philippine film is in thetradition of Alejandro Jodorowsky with it's surreal story. One can only guess what was in the minds of the producers of what can be described as a sexploitaion film with horror aspects.

It certainly has definite undertones of Jodorowsky's anti-religion message. With the priest gone from the village, it is left to Tonya (Maria Isabel Lopez) to teach religion to the children. She describes the appendage between a mans legs as the devil's horns. No, she is not a lesbian, she is frequently consumed by hotdesires for Simon (Maria Isabel Lopez), the local stud, and rubs salt between her legs to reduce this.
Religion plays a large part at the end also when the villagers get absolution for the horrific crimes they committed, as if it never happened.
While the villagers are lining up against Tonya for her anti-male message, Selda (Sarsi Emmanuelle) returns to the village after a five-year exile and things heat up tremendously. Nothing is what it seems, and the viewer will be rewarded for hanging in there as explanations come slowly.
While you are waiting for them to come, there is ample flesh to keep you interested. It seems that Simon is desired by a lot of women and he accommodates them. He is not a "wham, bam, thank you mam" type either. Sex scenes include considerable foreplay and last longer than any I have seen outside an x-rated performance. According to Tonya, the men work all day and want sex at night, but the passion of the women in this film for sex suggests they are willing partners.
PETA members may find the opening slaying and gutting of the water buffalo to be a bit much, and the slaying of thea nimal towards the end is equally graphic. There is a long gang-rape at the end that may also be disturbing.
The music and cinematography were exquisite, especially if you opt to watch the subtitled version, rather than the dubbed one.

Accept it or not, much before the release of Delhi Belly and Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap, it was clear that the former will take a big lead over the latter on Friday. The major factor being, the Aamir Khan brand and the interesting promos that promised that Delhi Belly will be a fun film. Well, nothing much has changed after the release also.

Delhi Belly opened very well across the country in around 1200 screens and reported 70% to 90% occupancy. The opening response at single screens was in 50% to 60% range, which is also a good figure, considering the number of screens this film has opened at. The business seems to be growing rapidly with every show, with the youth celebrating Delhi Belly in a big way. It is expected that Delhi Belly will earn excellent numbers on Day 1 and Saturday and Sunday numbers are expected to be record breaker.

Delhi Belly amounts to be Rs 30 cr approx. to its maker, which is again on the higher side, however the terrefic response from the people on day one, shows that recovering the money back will not be a problem for the makers.

Though Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap also passed through good reviews, but the wave of Delhi Belly has badly affected the opening of the film. The opening numbers of Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap (which opened at approx 1000 screens) ranged between 15% - 20% - 25%. However, a few centres reported better occupancy, especially the single screens in the Hindi heartland. The reports are good, but the appreciation needs to translate into numbers.

The advantage with Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap is that the film was made under a reasonable budget, amounting to 21 to 22 cr (inclusive of Amitabh Bachchan and Puri Jagannath's remuneration). The Satellite Rights and Music Rights of the film has fetched Rs 14.75 cr and the remaining amount has to be recovered from India and Overseas market, Home Video and Digital rights, etc. Well, this then doesn't look like a problem. However, good theatrical run is the biggest need.

Maria filed for divorce Friday and the division of property is yet to be determined.

Since the couple has been married for a quarter century and it’s probably impossible to separate what they each had before they tied the knot, it’s likely the entire pot of money will be considered community property.

In advance of the July 29 release of “The Smurfs,” the real wizards (sorry, Gargamel) at Sony Pictures Animation opened up their facilities to the press for one fun-filled afternoon. We were treated to a sneak peak of the film, a roundtable interview with Hank Azaria and Jayma Mays, and the opportunity to both animate and voice our very own Smurfs. Getting to see all the different aspects of the production at work at Sony Pictures Animation was something that truly blue my mind.

The day began with some opening words from the film’s director, Raja Gosnell (“Beverly Hills Chihuaha,” “Scooby-Doo”), and producer Jordan Kerner (“Charlotte’s Web,” “Inspector Gadget”). After hearing from the men behind the Smurfs, we got to see our first peek at the Smurfs in 3-D. As the story brings the Smurfs saga into the real world, the hybrid film required almost two years of production work in both live-action and computer animation. To bring the Smurfs to the big screen, the film required 20 million frames of film to be rendered.

The highlight of the afternoon was the opportunity for members of the media to actually voice a Smurf. There were two separate clips available to provide the voices for. We had the option to re-voice Anton Yelchin’s work as Clumsy Smurf or Katy Perry’s efforts as Smurfette. With all due respect to Mr. Yelchin, I would like to think that my version was a Smurfy interesting alternate take on the scene.

Movie Plot Summary:
Ironclad is a American film, directed by Jonathan English. A ragtag group of veteran warriors hold out for months against the hard-fought siege of Rochester Castle in the thirteenth Century. Set in the time of King John's signing of the Magna Carta treaty, the group struggles to defend the freedom of their country.

Written and directed by Jonathan English, who is still a relative newcomer (meaning I don’t really remember his other work), Ironclad has a great cast, with Paul Giamatti, Brian Cox, Kate Mara (okay, not the best actress, but she’s pretty), James Purefoy, and Derek Jacobi. With such a good cast, the film has to be at least decent.

Storyline:
It is the year 1215 and the rebel barons of England have forced their despised King John to put his royal seal to the Magna Carta, a noble, seminal document that upheld the rights of free-men. Yet within months of pledging himself to the great charter, the King reneged on his word and assembled a mercenary army on the south coast of England with the intention of bringing the barons and the country back under his tyrannical rule. Barring his way stood the mighty Rochester castle, a place that would become the symbol of the rebel's momentous struggle for justice and freedom.

There are plenty of lower-budget independent films that have gone on to be more critically acclaimed and more financially profitable than big-budget Hollywood pictures. What is rare, however, is an indie film that masquerades as one of these pictures. A self-labelled "all- star indie action blockbuster" and "inspired by history",'Ironclad' is such a film, trying to redefine the boundaries of British cinema.

Whether by intention or by coincidence, 'Ironclad' picks up a few years after the end of Ridley Scott's 'Robin Hood'. It is England, 1215. King John (Paul Giamatti) has been forced to sign the Magna Carta, which limits his power and ensures the freedom of men.

With the help of a Danish army, the King rampages across the country to regain absolute power. Baron Albany (Brian Cox) and a band of rebels take Rochester Castle in an attempt to stop the tyrant king. A siege takes place, and the rebels must hold the castle until reinforcements arrive.

The film certainly ticks many of the boxes of an action blockbuster. There's a clear "big bad guy vs. underdog good guy" vibe, plenty of action, and some veterans among the B-list cast. The $25 million budget, although pocket change in Hollywood, shows how badly this indie film wants to be big. A big film, however, is not necessarily a good film.

'Ironclad' is at its strongest when it comes to the physical side of things. It does not shy away from gory violence. Heads, hands and feet go flying, blood splatters all over the the camera's lens, and there's a particularly nasty bit involving a man and a catapult. The weapons feel like instruments of destruction rather than Medieval-chic accessories, and often succeed in making viewers wince.

The fight choreography is particularly impressive - characters look like soldiers trying to tear each others' hearts out, as opposed to actors trying to high-five each other's swords. The action sacrifices style and appearance for physicality and brutality, which results in a refreshing level of authenticity.

The 13th century England recreated looks good enough to fool anyone but a history buff. Giamatti and Cox play their roles with conviction and succeed in getting the story moving. Giamatti is particularly watchable, playing King John as an unhinged sadist.

The narrative is where 'Ironclad' falters. Fully aware that the film is essentially about a group of soldiers in a building, the writers have tried to spice things up. One of the rebels (James Purefoy) happens to be a Templar Knight. He regrets killing people for God, so he goes on a diet of silence and chastity, the latter of which is tested (of course) by the lady of the castle (Kate Mara). These are ill-advised attempts at emotional content and only serve to distract from what should have been a simpler, more polished affair.

Regrettably, the filmmakers decided to emulate that most repulsive staple of modern action blockbusters - the shaky-cam. Specifically namechecking 'Transformers 2' and the 'Bourne' sequels as influences (not a good sign), they decided to shake the picture to create "a very real sense of action".

What is achieved instead is a very real sense of frustration every time the action is made unnecessarily incoherent. Once again, the "Michael Bay Effect" has ruined a film that would have otherwise looked excellent, and wasted the work of an obviously talented action choreographer.

Despite its flaws, fans of mud'n'blood, hack'n'slash mini-epics will find plenty to like in 'Ironclad'. It is comparable to 'Robin Hood' despite costing $130 million less to make. Director Jonathan English wanted to create an action blockbuster. In terms of scale and ambition, he has succeeded. But blockbusters aren't perfect, and neither is this.

Once in Los Angeles, Heard made appearances in various TV shows. About Movie Singham:
Singham (English: Lion) is an upcoming action film directed by Rohit Shetty starring Ajay Devgn and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. The film is a remake of the successful 2010 Tamil film, Singam, which was directed by Hari and featuring Suriya in the lead role. Singer Jessie J, who hurt her foot following a fall on stage, is going to undergo surgery today. Posting a photo of her in a gown, she tweeted that she's scared.

Pakistan's censor board has not cleared Aamir Khan production Delhi Belly. Therefore the exhibitors and cinema hall owners forced to put off plans to release the film later this week. Atrium Cinema, a leading cineplex of Karachi, posted on its Facebook page yesterday, "It has just been notified by the distributors of film Delhi Belly that Central Board of Film Censors, Islamabad, have not passed the film for public exhibition. Thus, the film will not be released in cinemas in Pakistan."

The Pakistani exhibitors were very keen on release the film starring Imran Khan, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Poorna Jagannathan, Vir Das and Shenaz Treasurywala, on Friday. The reason for the ban cannot be discovered because the censor board was not available for the comment.

Tyson, 44, nicknamed `The Baddest Man On The Planet', is one of sport's most controversial figures in and out of the ring.

He was jailed for raping beauty queen Desiree Washington in 1992. On his release he had a series of comeback fights.
But in 1997 he shocked boxing again after biting off part of opponent Evander Holyfield's ear.

The fighter, known as `Iron Mike'' for his tenacity in the ring, hung up his gloves in 2002 after Britain's Lennox Lewis beat him.
In recent years his life has hit a downward spiral as he was declared bankrupt in 2003 and became addicted to cocaine.

Then his daughter Exodus, 4, died in an accident on an exercise machine in 2009.
But Tyson has rebuilt his life and quit drugs. And this week he renewed his marriage vows to wife Lakiha, 32, in Las Vegas.
"To get Mike Tyson on Big Brother would be an amazing coup," the Daily Star quoted a show source as saying.

The `Harry Potter' actress worked with artist Mark Demsteader on the new exhibition, which will benefit the African charity CAMFED, and she admitted being on such a low-key set, which didn't have a team of stylists and make-up professionals, was a strange experience.

"As it takes Mark several months to create the pieces, he finds it easier to work from photographs so I met him and a photographer for a day's photo shoot in north London back in January," Contactmusic quoted Watson as telling UK Vogue.

"It was a really simple shoot with just a single light to cast shadows. We took lots of pictures in a variety of poses and Mark went away and selected 30 or so to turn into paintings.

"Whilst I didn't sit for Mark as such, it was a completely different photo shoot to anything I've ever done before. It was really low-key - I did my own makeup and just brought a selection of very simple dresses for the silhouette. Mark did the lighting," she revealed. (ANI)

Nayantara became too emotional and was into tears on the last day of the shooting of her upcoming Telugu movie Sri Rama Rajyam. The actress, who is getting married to actor-director Prabhu Deva, is bidding goodbye to acting after this film.
“After the completion of the last day shooting, Nayantara sat alone and cried, before cast and crew requested her to control her emotions. She was apparently disappointed to leave the team, as this would be her last film,” a source from the unit said.

Yeoh plays the role of Myanmar freedom fighter Aung San Suu Kyi in the movie.

The biopic, which has been shot in Thailand, Myanmar, the United Kingdom and France, is scheduled for release in October.

"The immigration authorities treated me cordially, but deported me upon arrival for no reason and without providing any justification. I was shocked and terribly saddened by this action," The Star quoted Yeoh, as telling The Daily Chilli.

"I harbour no ill will. I''m always fond of Myanmar and its people. I will continue to cherish hopes that this country will continue its progress towards peace and democracy, and that I will be able to return (to Myanmar) soon," she added. (ANI)

Puneet's Prithvi being dubbed in Telugu after Jackie

Even before the release of the Telugu version of Jackie, Powerstar Puneet Rajkumar is gearing up to dub another movie in Telugu. His hit Kannada film of 2010, Prithvi, is now being dubbed in Telugu. The audio of the Telugu version has already been released in Hyderabad on 24th April. The movie will hit the screens in May.
Kannada movie Prithvi, which has been titled Prithvi IAS in Telugu, deals with the corruption and alleged mining in Bellary, Karnataka. The same problems are prevalent in Andhra Pradesh too. So the movie bosses think that the subject of Prithvi will surely impress the movie buffs in the state.

Lately, Bollywood has been exploring the untravelled road of the youth. Be it Pyaar Ka Panchnama or Luv Ka The End, all of them have managed to win the hearts of the viewers. Tashi (Imran Khan), Arup (Vir Das) and Nitin (Kunaal Roy Kapur) are flat mates, buddies and that by default makes them partners in crime. Tashi is to get married in a month to the glamorous and beautiful Sonia (Shenaz Treasurywala). Arun has been dumped by his girlfriend and is annoyed over his boss, who has a weird idea of creativity, sketching a smiling banana. Nitin a foody will soon discover that eating delicious Tandoori Chicken off a street vendor is going to give him the worst case of Delhi Belly. Three of them lead a regular life till they get on the hit list of a deadly crime syndicate (Vijay Raaz). And the story unfolds.

Delhi Belly has a novel story presented in an entirely new way, which involves cuss words, outrageous -daring moments, raucous, boisterous, potty-mouthed caper. In short it is a raunchy youth film that may give a culture shock to Indian audience. The smart screenplay and witty and colourful dialogue adds up a lot of energy to the film. Thumps up to the writer Akshat Verma, who steals away the show with an original and colourful idea. Script is airtight and you can't afford missing even one scene from the film.

Though Delhi Belly seems to be inspired by adult comedies of Hollywood, but director Abhinay Deo and writer Akshat Verma have maintained the Indianess of the film at heart. Delhi Belly is fully desi with a videsi touch. The humor is on the face and sardonic. Delhi Belly carries a lingo that the youth would connect with instantly and perhaps, it may go down as a cult film in its genre. The location of the film reveals the real Delhi with crammed bylanes and middle class surrounding. Music Delhi Belly by Ram Sampat is innovative. 'DK Bose' stands out among the youth.

Performance:
Delhi Belly is basically a boy's film and boy's films are always fun. The chemistry between the three actors is superb and that is what makes the script come alive. There sense of humour is in a smooth sync. Imran is at his best, it won't be wrong to say that this is his best work till date. Vir Das is incredible. Kunaal Roy Kapur is the scene-stealer. Shenaz Treasurywala acts well. Poorna Jagannathan catches your eye. Vijay Raaz is exceptional. Paresh Ganatra is equally competent. Rahul Singh is perfect.

Over All we assure that you will exit the auditorium with a grin on your face. Delhi Belly works big time. An incredible film that takes you to the untapped world of youth. Don't forget to catch the show!

The iconic status that Amitabh Bachchan has achieved over the years ( from 1970's till date) needs to be compensated at one point in time. With Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap, the successful Telugu director Puri Jagannath celebrates the persona and charisma of Sr Bachchan and his contribution to our Indian Cinema. Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap bring backs the 69-year-old Bachchan back to his flamboyant angry man character. The film is a masala flick through and through. Be it the medley of Amitabh's hits or the action sequences, it is all about the iconic brand name Amitabh.

Viju (Amitabh Bachchan) is an ex-gangster, who arrives Mumbai on a mission. He is flamboyant, loud, arrogant and retaliates when people call him 'Bbuddah' (old man). The first impression suggests that Viju is on a mission to assassinate the ACP (Sonu Sood), but there are more agenda hidden behind his intentions, which is revealed with the story. The story takes off from the interval point with and unexpected twist. From here on the film leads to a peak, an action-packed finale and subsequently an emotional reunion.

Plus Points:
Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap bring back the era when a films success and functioning depended entirely on one man, it brings back the one-man-army saying. Here that one man is none other than Amitabh Bachchan. The veteran is electrifying, we salute to his undying spirit and energy. The film is a full packed South Indian film, with a typical narration, the slick edit, the fast pacing, the stylized action scenes and the larger-than-life characters.

The writing is bang on, director Puri Jagannath makes sure that he doesn't disappoint the hardcore Amitabh fans. Besides acting Bachchan show off his larger than life stature with witty dialogue. Puri presents Big B like a true superstar in Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap. Vishal-Shekhar have done a commendable job by composing the medley of Bachchan hits, which comes at the beginning of the film. Amol Rathod's cinematography is perfect, while Vijay's stunts are stylish.

Loop:
Though the film is full of masala, the first hour works in portions. While some part involves the viewers mind and brain, there are multiple tracks which get on your nerves, especially the scenes in the coffee shop are most irritating. Even the the track involving Raveena Tandon comes across like an unwanted guest. It doesn't work at all.

Performance:
Amitabh Bachchan is truly the Baap of Indian cinema and with Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap he reiterates the fact yet again. The attitude, dialogue delivery that Big B puts into the character of Viju will remain etched in your memory for long. His loud attire may raise eyebrows initially, but later you realise that it goes with the character that he plays in the film. Hema Malini is, as always, graceful. The chemistry between them is refreshing. Raveena Tondon's role is ill-defined which is the reason why she is sidelined. Sonu Sood is first-rate. Sonal Chauhan looks pretty and acts well. Charmee Kaur is likeable and funny.

Prakash Raj is super. It's a treat to watch Bachchan and Prakash Raj confrontations. Makrand Deshpande is wonderful as usual. Shahwar Ali is okay. Rajeev Mehta irritates. Vishwajeet Pradhan and Atul Parchure are passable

Over All:
Finally, Bachchan fans this one is especially for you. And those who are not Bachchan fan also do watch it simply because they don't make them like Amitabh Bachchan anymore. Over all Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap is a masala entertainer. Just go for it!

Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan lives his title 'King Khan' literally – at least during his recent stay in Toronto for the International Indian Film Festival (IIFA) Awards. It is said that he was given special treatment by the organisers of the event – including special hotel suite and security guards.

“He was given the best suite and there was special staff posted for him both for the awards and the hotel. Shahrukh had also flown in with his own staff and they were all lodged along with him,” DNA quoted a source as saying. “There was no brief for them, except to ‘standby and wait for anything that he wants’. Khan briefly had some problem with the taps in his bathroom (he later said that he got confused between the hot and cold water taps in the shower) but overall he seemed to have enjoyed the stay,” added the source.

Even the entire business section of the flight was reportedly condoned off when the King Khan about to leave the venue. “The entire area was sealed off for him and his staff. When he was coming here, there was only Dharmendra (actor) with him. But he left alone after a brief meeting with Priyanka (actress Priyanka Chopra),” added the source.

After an impressive showcase at the 64th Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, the high-octane action thriller Aazaan made a prominent debut at the recently concluded The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards IIFA in Toronto, Canada with a flurry of activities. The showcase of the film and the introduction of debutant actor Sachin Joshi a.k.a Aazaan was done by none other than the Badshah of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan on this international platform.

Sachin Joshi walked the Green Carpet at the IIFA Awards ceremony with friends from the film industry and later at the award function was introduced to the film fraternity, media-international and national by Shahrukh Khan himself. In an unprecedented gesture, SRK called the debutant on stage and said, “IIFA is all about showcasing Indian films on an international arena and so is this new film, Aazaan, which is going to hit the marquee soon. I would like to introduce you to the film's hero, Sachiin Joshi!”

Aazaan was the first ever-Indian film that showcased its first look at the iconic Majestic Beach in Cannes, which saw an outstanding response leaving international dignitaries and key media personnel impressed. The lead actors Sachiin Joshi and Candice Boucher also sashayed down the Red Carpet at Cannes!

At IIFA, the first theatrical trailer of Aazaan was showcased exclusively at the premiere of the comic caper Double Dhamaal on the opening night. The action packed trailer created immense buzz amongst the who's who of the film industry. The three-day IIFA extravaganza also witnessed a host of other activities by the Aazaan team.

On the second day, the first exclusive music preview of Aazaan was showcased at the IIFA rocks event where music director duo Salim-Sulaiman performed live to a medley of three songs from the movie along with a host of dancers from the Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts. These songs were: 'Aafreen', 'Bismillah' and 'Khuda KeLiye'. The pulsating yet poignant music of Aazaan had the audience captivated.

Post the IIFA Awards on the third day; the after party was co-hosted by Aazaan, which was attended by the who's who of the Indian film industry like Genelia D'Souza, Rishi Kapoor, Sajid Nadiadwala, Subhash Ghai, Randhir Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and Raghav Sachar amongst others.

Speaking about showcasing Aazaan in Toronto, Sachiin Joshi said, “Aazaan has been intelligently scripted keeping in mind the nuances of a biological warfare and has a mix of intense action and dangerous stunts. Its soulful and eclectic music by ace music directors Salim-Suleiman is spellbinding. I was very excited to be in Toronto for IIFA to showcase our debut film Aazaan to yet another important international market after Cannes. It was a great honour for me to be introduced to the film fraternity and the international media by none other that the king of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan.”

CANNES -- Ray Liotta
stars as a pudgy Seattle police detective who is trapped between a serial killer and his department in this murder thriller. Also featuring Christian Slater and Ving Rhames, The River Sorrow should dredge up some cable interest based on their recognizable names, but the film is a quagmire of lousy dialogue and inconsistent technical contributions.
Indicative of the atonal mishmash of this thriller, the title itself
— The River Sorrow —
is likely to make audiences think it is some sort of weepy melodrama or a depressing documentary.
The film’s intriguing premise is that a law enforcement official (Liotta) is linked to a murderous rampage in the Seattle area in that the victims are all former lovers of his. Indeed, the solid detective sewed some wild oats in his bachelor days and notched nearly 100 one-night stands from his teens to marriage at 40.
Now, he’s a devoted husband and stay-at-home type. That connection draws suspicion and some hostility from his department, as well as ridicule from an obnoxious F.B.I. Agent (Slater) whose personal attacks are so vicious as to be nonsensical. And, compounding the scorned detective’s duress, his mother dies. Indicative of the film’s lack of emotional sensitivity, Liotta’s character shows as much emotion over his mother’s death as if he was informed his car needed a tune-up. Indeed, Liotta’s overall performance could be categorized as listless.
It’s true that screenwriter Steve Anderson has concocted a brainy serial-killer thriller, but he has little flair for character nuance. The shortcoming manifests mostly in the boneheaded dialogue. In particular, Christian Slater is stuck with such hostile and hammer-headed lines that his performance is a one-note embarrassment.
On the plus side, the killer that Anderson has created is a well-crafted blend of Ted Bundy and a religious fanatic. Accordingly, Michael Rodrick’s portrayal of the murderer is well-blended, both charming and scary.
Director Rich Cowan moves the story along nicely but the technical contributions are uneven. Deadening the whole enterprise is Pinar Toprak’s dreary musical score. Neither bolstering this generic piece with either tension or malevolence, the score is draining, capsized by a depressing violin leitmotif. It screeches away with such a dispiriting voice that the one would think this was an early Ingmar Bergman film. Indeed, this North by Northwest Entertainment certainly could have used Bernard Herrmann’s composing talents.
On the plus side, Rhames is sympathetic as Liotta’s fatherly superior officer, one of the few three-dimensional characters in the story.

Storyline:

Just Go with It movie is based on man enlists the help of a woman and her kids to land the woman of his dreams. The movie is telling a plastic surgeon (Adam Sandler), romancing a much younger schoolteacher, enlists his loyal assistant (Jennifer Aniston) to pretend to be his soon to be ex-wife, in order to cover up a careless lie. So in order to keep their relationship still going, he tells her that he and his "wife" are getting a divorce. When she insists on meeting her, he asks Katherine to pose as his wife. Katherine takes a call from one of her children, Palmer assumes that they're Danny's so wants to meet them. And it's at this meeting that Katherine's son tricks Danny into taking them all on a trip to Hawaii.

Movie Plot Summary:
Danny (Adam Sandler) has a unique approach to picking up women -- in order to break the ice and gain their sympathy, he pretends to be stuck in an unhappy marriage. The instant he brandishes his wedding ring, the deal is all but cinched. But when Danny finally meets a woman (Brooklyn Decker) that he really would want to marry, he abandons his usual approach for something a bit more subtle. Incredibly, it works. But when she discovers the wedding band that he used to use as a pick-up prop, Danny attempts to cover his tracks by falling back on his tried-and-true divorce line. Unfortunately for Danny, the plan backfires when his new girlfriend asks to meet his future ex. Desperate, Danny recruits his office manager, Katherine (Jennifer Aniston), to validate his ruse by posing as his current wife. Before long, the lies are snowballing, and by the time Katherine's kids get involved and everyone comes together for a trip to Hawaii, it's not a matter of if Danny's plan will fall through, but when.

Movie Story:

Musafir directed by Pramod Pappan stars Rahman, Mamta Mohandas and Bala. The film is a high budget action extravaganza completely shot in foreign locales, filmed in James Bond style.

Movie Plot Summary:
'Musafir' starring Rahman and Mamta Mohandas had caught the film buff's fancy with its big budget and the foreign locations where its has been shot.
It is a musical thriller from the director-duo Pramod and Pappan who had given us such thrllers as 'Vajram', 'Thaskaraveeran' and the recent 'Black Stallion'.
Rahman, who had made a comeback to Malayalam with Black a few years back, would be seen doing a lead hero role in Malayalam after a very long period.
Mamta Mohandas who was recently seen in Sathyan Anthikkad's 'Katha Thudarunnu' would be seen in a glam avatar once again in 'Musafir'.
Ouseppachen, M.G. Radhakrishnan, Shahbas Aman and Balabhasker are the music directors. The film has six songs.
The dialogues of the film have been penned by Babu Janardhanan. The screenplay of the film is based on a story written by Suneer Hamza.
'Musafir' has been shot on several foreign locations as Dubai, Cyprus and London. Shooting of the film is complete and the film is all set to make it to the theatres very soon.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is on a new high following back-to-back success of Dabangg and Ready. Now, we hear that producer Boney Kapoor has paid him Rs.10 crore for his upcoming film No Entry Mein Entry.

News is doing the rounds that Boney Kapoor has signed Salman for a whopping Rs.8 to 10 crore for his film No Entry Mein Entry, which is a sequel to Anees Bazmee's hit film, No Entry. Anees will direct the sequel of the film too. Sources said that the producer doesn't want to lose Salman and is ready to pay him any amount.

It was earlier reported that Boney was upset with Anees for allegedly misusing the script that was meant for the sequel. Salman was also said to be not in good term with Anees during the shooting of Ready. But the stupendous success of Ready seems to have brought them together again.

Diganth teams up with Prajwal Devaraj in Mr. Duplicate;

Doodhpeda Diganth is now teaming up with chocolate hero Prajwal Devaraj in Kodlu Ramakrishna directed Kannada movie. His film with Prajwal has been titled Mr. Duplicate, which is currently being shot at a college in Mangalore. Recently, shooting of a fight sequence between Digi and Prajwal was done in the city. According to the director, both the heroes have equal roles in this upcoming film.
Different Danny has choreographed the stunt scenes for the film Mr. Duplicate. Talking about the stunts, Danny says, "Director Ramakrishna has told me that both roles have equal scope in the film. So I have been asked to compose equal actions scenes for both Diganth and Prajwal. We have already shot a fight scene in the football stadium of the college and they have performed very well in it. We are now shooting the second stunt."
According to Ramakrishna, the reason behind starting the movie Mr. Duplicate is actor Diganth, who started his acting career with Ramakrishna's movie Ms. California. The director says, "One day, he called me up and asked me to come to his home. When I visited his home, he expressed his desire to do another movie with me. He also assured me that he would not take any remuneration for the film. He suggested me to find good script for the film."
He adds, "I contacted my friend Dwarki, who has directed the movie Matte Mungaru. He had already penned a story, screenplay and dialogues for a film, which would need two heroes. So I told Digi that he would be one hero and I suggested him to find one more suitable actor for it. But he asked me to choose the best one for it. I contacted Prajwal and his father Devaraj and narrated them the story. Both of them liked it and Deveraj sir accepted the offer."
However, the movie Mr. Duplicate is being produced by Kashyap Dhakoju and Naveen Suvarna is handling the camera for it. Naveen recently captured the fight between two football teams in a college Mangalore for it. Diganth is the captain of one football team, while the other is led by Prajwal. Director says, "There is a serious battle between these two actors. One should watch the film to know who will win the battle and who is Mr. Duplicate."

Movie Plot Summary:

Maduve Mane is a modern version of Ramyana

The team of Maduve Mane has dismissed the rumours that it is a remake of Bollywood Blockbuster movie Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge by saying that Golden star Ganesh and Shraddha Arya starrer film is a modern version of Ramayana. Earlier, it was reported that it would be a remake of DDLJ. Now, the team claims that it is an original Kannada movie.
Recently, a grand function for the muhurtha of the film Maduve Mane was organized by the producer in Bangalore on Sunday. And Ganesh started the shooting of the movie by breaking a coconut. The sad part of the occasion was that Shraddha was absent on the event. Meanwhile, the film crew said that it would not be a remake of any movie. It is an original Kannada movie.
The movie Maduve Mane is being directed by Sunil Kumar Singh, who has earlier directed several TV serials. HA Rahman is producing it. Nagesh has penned story, screenplay and dialogues. The specialty of the film is that Tabala Naani has been roped in to write comedy dialogues for Ganesh. Narasimharaju's grandson Avinash Diwakar, who made his debut with the film Jugaari, can be seen in a prominent role in Maduve Mane.

'Paramathma' TV Rights Sold for Rs.4 Crores?

According to sources in Gandhinagar the hub of film activity the satellite rights of ‘Paramathma’ the biggest combination in the Kannada cinema industry – power star Puneeth Rajakumar and Yogaraj Bhat – has been sold for a whopping price of Rs.4 crores.
‘Paramathma’ starring three beauties – Deepa Sannidhi, Aindrita Ray and Ramya Barna with sidekicks from Rangayana Raghu still under production making big news and business is a welcome issue for the Kannada cinema industry.
The issue is whether ‘Paramathma’ would generate Rs.5 crores revenue for the satellite channel? According to the information from a few of the television channels it is impossible in the near future to make Rs.5 crores from telecast of the film. It takes many screenings to get back the existing films. A film like ‘Milana’ of power star Puneeth Rajakumar, Parvathi Menon starring Prakash directed film sold to Zee Kannada channel for Rs.48 lakhs the money has not yet returned in the form of advertisement revenue after six times of telecast.

Aamir is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that Delhi Belly succeeds at the box office. He wore a blue T-shirt when India beat Pakistan during 2011 Cricket World Cup semi final match. Though they have broken up long back, actress Katrina Kaif and actor Salman Khan cannot see each other in trouble. Earlier during the Income Tax raid Salman supported Katrina and now he has done it again. The members of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) recently sent summons to Katrina and halted an on-going shoot of her deodorant commercial at Mehboob Studio. Apparently, Katrina has not yet registered herself as a working actor with the organisation.

Dinesh Chaturvedi, President-FWICE told TOI, "We didn't halt the shoot, but we wanted to know why Katrina still isn't a member of our organisation. I understand she has a busy schedule, but it doesn't take that long to finish the formalities. Every one from Amitabh Bachchan to Shahrukh Khan has registered with us."

Calls were made for her rescue, but none other than ex-beau and present friend Salman Khan came to her rescue. Salman gave his personal assurance to the organisation, stating that the registration will be done soon. Chaturvedi added, "I did get a call from Salmanbhai saying that the needful will be done. I am speaking only for the benefit of the actors who aren't registered."

The card costs Rs 600 and provides a lot of benefits to the employee with insurance of around two lakhs. The card has international usage too, informed the President of FWICE.

Shivaraj Kumar starts shooting for Lakshmi;
Hat-trick hero Shivaraj Kumar has recently completed post-production works for his upcoming movie Jogayya. And the Century Star has already started shooting for his 101st movie Lakshmi even before the release of the 100th movie. He has filmed an action sequence for the movie earlier this week.
The film Lakshmi, which is being directed by Sathya in Love fame Raghava Loki, was launched in December 2010 and Shivaraj Kumar has completed a 10 days schedule between December 31 and January 14. He began the shooting of the next schedule for 80 days on Monday and took part in the filming of a fight scene near Minto Hospital and Sadashivanagar roads.
Shivanna's 101st movie revolves around the people suffering from terrorism. It has an inner shade of terrorism, which is unusual on screen. It is an attempt to end the terrorism. Shivaraj Kumar plays the CBI officer Lakshmi a.k.a. Lakshminarayan. Actress Priyamani will appear as heroine alongside the Hodi Maga star.
Shivaraj Kumar has also planned to shoot some sequences for Lakshmi in foreign land in May. The film will have five songs of which Gurukiran will score three melody tracks and two others will have a folk touch. Cameraman KS Chandraskehar is handling the cinematography for the movie, which will feature Rangayana Raghu, Komal Kumar and Dilip Raj in the important roles.

Movie Plot Summary:

Remakes are a dime a dozen these days but when you go through your old DVD or video collection and you come across the 1978 original I Spit On Your Grave you cant help but think "not a chance they will remake this". But remake it they have and the storyline is a mirror image of the original but for some reason this new version doesn't seem to be as nasty as the original. The reasons for this might have to do with the fact that the actors can actually act, its shot in a cleaner, more professional manner and maybe most importantly of all : we are just not that shocked by anything anymore. With more and more films pushing the boundaries of violence and gore, this just doesn't offend as much as the original did in its day. Having said that its still a tough watch and anybody not familiar with the original and not a fan of this genre will find its extended torture and intimidation scenes very difficult to stomach, but with a title like I Spit On Your Grave this movie will only attract a certain type of viewer.

Movie Story:

Venkat Prabhu completes Mangaatha test shoots;
Director Venkat Prabhu has recently completed test shoots of young actors Premji Amaran, Vaibhav and Mahat Raghavendra for his upcoming film Mangaatha. Ajith Kumar's 50th is all set to start its regular shooting from Monday.

"As I have said many times, Ashwariya Rai is a dream girl and a great actress. In fact, she is much more than a dream girl," Hema Malini said here while interacting with the media about her upcoming film "Tell Me O Khuda" which has her daughter Esha Deol in the lead role.

The actress said the dream girl tag to her was given by people and the media. "They just started calling me a dream girl. That's how it happened. But every girl today is a dream girl... acting itself is about dreams," she said.
Dharmendra, her husband who was at the press conference, too seemed to be mighty pleased when asked about his continuing He-Man image in the Indian entertainment industry.

"Every boy today in a he-man. They are conscious of their health. So they all are he-men. You people gave me this (tag) and I am very thankful for this. It continues because of your support and well wishes," the Sholay actor said.

Interestingly, 'Garam Dharam', as he is known, showed flashes of his hot temper as well as spontaneity during the press conference and on the IIFA awards night.

When someone switched off the light while he was being interviewed by a TV journalist, the veteran actor almost lost his temper. "Switch on the light," he snapped.

And when actor Chandan Roy Sanyal was briefing the media about his role in the movie, Dharmendra got up from his chair, took the mike from Sanyal and said, "Yeh badi kuti cheez hai, esne bahut achha kaam kiya hai (He is such a devil who has played a wonderful role)."

At the finale of the three-day IIFA show when Dharmendra was given the award for his 50 years in Bollywood, he touched the 25,000-strong audience with raw spontaneity and went on and on.

As the show was running behind schedule, host Anil Kapoor had to whisper something into Dharmendra's ear. But there was no stopping 'Garam Dharam' that night.(IANS)

Oscar Award winning director Steven Spielberg's upcoming film War Horse's first trailer has hit the internet. The one-minute-fifty-six second clip shows the true nature of the film, where a young man bonds with a horse.

The trailer starts-off with a horse named Joey running to an unknown destination. In the next few seconds, a young man called Albert Narracott finds it and bonds with the horse. The soft conversion between Joey-Albert and the horse's encounter with several people give hints about the story.

According to director, the story explores the friendship between Albert and Joeys. The young man, who trains and tames the horse, was forcefully separated when it was sold to the cavalry. While the horse was sent to serve on the battlefields during the World War I, Albert moves to France.

War Horse is the screen-adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's novel of the same name. Jeremy Irvine, Emily Watson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Niels Arestrup, Eddie Marsan, David Thewlis, David Kross and others are in the cast. The movie will hit the screens on December 28, 2011.
